Would you believe in Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is an important part of western society and many of us grew up with this particular magical icon. Recently I came upon the idea that Santa represents a unique archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is described as an inherited memory represented inside the mind from a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.

While seeking for such symbolic images of this dear old man I realized that which Santa Claus is short for can also be used to motivate us in creating for the new year. I see him being a fun-loving guy that can bring us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all of our dreams and wishes become a reality. Within this season we have been filled with expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the enjoyment being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, and also the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.

I discover that santa picture ideas reflects several archetypes. He can be viewed from the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope as well as to feel that an improved day lies ahead. He is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith along with the trust that all will be well.

The Caregiver archetype, however, is not inside the exercise of power this is the motive, although the drive to bestow care on those that need it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He is about giving to others fulfilling the requirements. And the man does not require anything in return except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He appear to be a strong guy, settling on who receives a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. Whenever we are great of course, if we know, Santa will make sure we obtain everything we want.

An important part of Santa’s story may be the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney by the touch of his nose as well as his yearly trek around the globe. And in addition, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is nothing short of miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and like to all, one child’s heart at a time. Santa may be the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to find new methods of dealing, being and succeeding.

While we are creating our dreams, our visions, and our alternatives for 2010, let’s all remember to use our Santa Claus model in conjunction with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. As you have chosen and after that more clearly defined the options in creating your 2010 Journey, take advantage of this strategy to shift your beliefs and allowing of this which you desire.

Sometimes merely the subtle shift from viewing our images from an adult part of trying to force, worrying over and wondering how things can change, on the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. A vital element of the Art of Allowing is to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings allows us to open to the Infinite Possibilities of the Universe.

Then too, we could liken Santa’s management skills to a universal manager. Is it possible to envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, in just one night? And all sorts of on time and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe can do for people like us, whenever we turn it onto God/Source. From the book “Ask & It Can Be Given” one of several Proven Processes is catchusanta it up to the manager. Since we set our goals, it’s like delegating to a Universal Manager. So that as we take a step back, and allow the Universe set things in position, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not giving up choices, we’re merely turning over every detail and creating our choices.

I urge you to pay attention to giving to your Universal Manager all the stuff you sense you want to do within this holiday week. You’ll find it amazing that since we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve done this personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by all of the chores I feel I must do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, while others just don’t seem extremely important. I’ve had instances when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to accomplish a number of the baking. I’ve learned to accept help and reply having a grateful “Yes!” This method is priceless in all of the elements of life, not simply the holidays. What The Law States of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that should eventually bring me my desires, Now.
